I couldn't be more excited about this seasons clothes. I'm not and never have been a dedicated follower of fashion, I've always been about what looks good rather than what's exactly bang on trend, besides sometimes the new season stock can start coming into the shops and I'm bitterly disappointed, in those moments I realise that the clothes on offer aren't as good as the ones I already own. But not so this Autumn (or Fall for my overseas visitors). This seasons colours are gorgeous and I'm feeling very autumnal even though it's still sunny and warm out (33 degrees today, hottest September day for decades or something and me and my bestie, the bestest bestie in fact, were out trying on knitwear and cosy skirts! ;) ) I find myself craving those glorious blue skies, crisp mornings and chilly days this time of year usually brings.
I've been doing the rounds of the high street, or more accurately shopping centers, happily and luckily there seems to be quite a lot on offer for ostomites and non-mites alike ;) .As always if I get the bottom half sorted tops aren't usually an issue, So I've had a good root around for what I think will work for me and others.
The good news for us bagged ladies (not to be confused with bag ladies of course) is that waist bands are finally rising for all of us. Not just those super high waists that virtually do up under your chin that only teenage waifs can get away with.
As I haven't been able to wear any of my new clothes yet, I've photographed them on the hanger just so I can get this blog out for you to take advantage and shop while they're all still in stock.
Not only are the shops filled with gorgeous greens, but also mustard, rust, burgundy and navy. I've been having a field day stocking up, That said I am being careful about what I buy, I've decided not to 'waste' money on clothes, therefore before I go out shopping I check what I have already, taking photos to remind myself what I'm looking to match up or coordinate with, so far it's working very well.
Now all I need is for the weather to turn. Buying these few bits and now sitting writing about them has made me crave Autumn even more! Cosy jumpers, country walks, log fires and boots, lots and lots of boots. I bought some new ones a few weeks back in Tory Burch that I can't wait to wear...don't tell Chris they're new, I'm insisting that he's just never noticed them before "these old things!?! you're so unobservant!"
Merry Autumn all, Happy shopping too!
