Veni vidi vici maxi!

Up until now I have only ever bought some cheapy Maxi dresses from Primark to wear on holidays to the beach or possibly in the evening if I'm feeling bold. Although they are lovely and baggy and my bag can dangle free unrestricted I'm not the greatest fan of maxi dresses. Probably due to the fact that I'm somewhat under height for my weight! As I often say I'm not overweight I'm under tall!  ;)

I found this one one in a little boutique in Great Dunmow, never seen the shop before but I walked a different way back to my car from my hairdressers last week and discovered it

I had no intention of buying it as it's very very long, as indeed a maxi dress would be I guess. I just wanted to try it on to see what it looked like, I do that quite often, mostly I don't buy the clothes, I just like to give them a try on the off chance that it works for me, but once I tried it on I loved it!

It's so comfortable, it's pretty much a super long T shirt, and not terribly dissimilar to a night dress, and let's face it, who wouldn't want to spend all day in their PJ's if they could get away with it!

Although I'm on the lumpy side of shapely (I've always felt these straight down style dresses favour the thin) I really think it works. I knew I owned a very thick petticoat slip which worked well to smooth my shape as much as my bag.

I think it's fair to say I came, I saw, I conquered the Maxi - one dress at a time!
