I like driving in my car...well not strictly speaking true, I do like getting out and about but I prefer to be driven. For very good reasons actually, I simply don't think I'm any good at it, hence why I'm having to go to a speed awareness course on wednesday, I rather foolishly was caught speeding a few weeks back, in fairness I thought I was doing under the speed limit but it turns out I either hadn't noticed or comprehended the temporary speed limit sign on the M25 so I was in fact actually inadvertently speeding when I thought I was being a good citizen. Mea culpa, I will take my punishment without grumble as it was my own fault.
On sunday I had intended to drive Ben up to Nottingham to see some of his best mates who are at uni there, but having just been diagnosed with Labyrinthitis (it's an inner ear thing, nothing serious but bloody annoying and it certainly explains the vertigo and toppling over) I didn't fancy a long drive so Chris stepped in and drove us all up there.
I do find sitting for long periods quite tricky with my stoma. I find it's prone to leaks if I sit for any length of time, the 2 and a half hours to get to Nottingham is about as far as I'd like to go without a break and getting out to stretch my legs and take pressure off the bag. No idea why sitting causes leaks more than standing but I at least I am aware and can take action.
I chose this outfit firstly because it's so cosy, yes, even the leather look jeggings are actually cosy, they are really comfy and have enough stretch to allow my bag to fill and secondly I couldn't wait to wear the jumper, I bought it a while back and hadn't worn it until sunday, so I wanted to give it an outing.
It was great going up and seeing some of Ben's mates, and taking them for lunch, he's blessed with absolutely wonderful friends, both his close ones and his wider circle are just great. We adore them too. They are such hard working, intelligent, respectful, good people. They are all a pleasure to be around. When I compare myself to them at that age I am full of admiration of them of just how well behaved and lovely they are. In fact I can't quite believe I brought up two such incredibly lovely, well behaved son's. I've always said I can only imagine its in spite of me rather than because of me hahahahahahahahahahah.
